Top 10 college football running back duos of all time
5. Trent Richardson/Mark Ingram, Alabama
Richardson was the No. 2 running back for Alabama in the 2009 and 2010 seasons, but he was also the No. 2 running back in all of college football. The two backs combined for 2,409 yards from scrimmage while averaging 5.8 yards per touch in 2009. Ingram may have been the one to win a Heisman Trophy, but Richardson was just as impactful over the course of his career.
On this date in 2009, Alabama beat South Carolina 20-6. Mark Ingram rushed for 246 yards and scored the game-clinching TD on a six-play 68-yard drive in the 4th quarter.
