7. Ja’Corey Whitted, Sr., McAdory
Whitted simply looks like a man amongst boys on the gridiron. Whitted led his Yellowjackets to a 6-5 record and an appearance in the Class 6A playoffs last season. While his stats aren鈥檛 available, Whitted鈥檚 impact can be seen immediately on the tape and he had a number of good outings including a three-catch, 62-yard day against Calera, a four-catch, 109-yard performance against Demopolis and a six-catch, 90-yard game against Homewood in the playoffs.
The 6-foot-6, 235-pound tight end is considered one of the best at his position in the country, being ranked as highly as the No. 13 prospect in the state鈥檚 senior class by Currently uncommitted, Whitted has narrowed his list to six schools: Alabama, Arkansas, Arkansas State, Auburn and Mississippi State and will be making a commitment soon.
