The most recent title run saw them stumble out of the gates with a loss to Virginia Tech, but it motivated the team and Ohio State didn鈥檛 lose another game. It received major contributions from Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Joey Bosa and Ezekiel Elliott, who was named offensive MVP of the 2015 Sugar Bowl and the first-ever College Football Playoff (CFP) championship game and helped the Buckeyes finish 14-1.
