Murphy makes for an interesting case on the gridiron. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound southpaw threw for an impressive 2,624 yards. 33 touchdowns and just three interceptions while rushing for 810 yards and nine more scores for an 11-2 Rebels squad that fell to Cardinal Ritter in the Class 3 state quarterfinals.
What makes Murphy fascinating is that he is also one of the state鈥檚 top baseball prospects as he is currently ranked the No. 25 player in the state according to .
