9. Roman Gagliano, Sr. Opelika
Another quarterback who had a breakout last fall, Gagliano was a steady presence for the Bulldogs. Gagliano threw for 1,488 yards and 16 touchdowns leading Opelika to a 5-5 record. Despite playing in a higher classification this past season, Gagliano actually improved his play from the year prior and was selected as the breakthrough player of the year as part of the Opelika-Auburn News all-area team.
Following his standout campaign, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound signal caller earned some attention from scouts including being ranked as a three-star prospect by 247Sports, good for the No. 51 prospect in Alabama for the Class of 2024. With increased interest, Gagliano has also earned some college opportunities with seven D-I offers including Georgia Southern, Middle Tennessee State and UAB. Gagliano will look to lead his Bulldogs into the 7A playoffs for the first time in program history this fall.
