Top 10 highest-rated California HS football players of all time
T-5. Lorenzo Booker, Class of 2002 – .9992
Speaking of state record books, Booker’s name is littered throughout them as he rushed for 8,502 career yards from 1999-2001, good for the third-most in California history. A St. Bonaventure star like Lewis, Booker rushed for 2,878 yards and 50 touchdowns as a senior, capping a three-year run where the Seraphs went 42-0.
The five-star prospect chose Florida State over Notre Dame and USC during a nationally-televised press conference on ESPN. Following an impressive three-year career with the Seminoles, Booker was selected in the third round (71st overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins and went to play for four NFL teams from 2007-2012.
