8. Daniel Davis, Brooke Point (1994-98)
Davis’ name can be seen throughout the as he not only finished as a top rusher but also a top scorer in the state’s history. As the Black Hawks’ main weapon, Davis finished his year with 7,080 yards, which ranks eighth in state history, 103 total touchdowns, which rank tied for fifth, and 612 total points, which rank seventh.Â
The standout running back began his college career at North Carolina where the Tar Heels with 303 rushing yards and two touchdowns as a freshman in 1999. However, forced UNC to kick Davis off the team and he transferred to Garden City Community College. After a successful year with Garden City, Davis joined the Kansas State program where for 224 yards and one touchdown as a junior. While he earned with the Indianapolis Colts following his college career, Davis never made an NFL roster.
