7. Cooper Legas, Orem (2015-18)
Legas is one of several guys on this list who has gone on to make an impact at the college level, but his career first took off playing at Orem High School. Also a two-time state champion in both wrestling and track and field, Legas helped the Tigers鈥� football program to back-to-back state titles in 2017 and 2018, producing 5,415 total yards of offense in his senior year. Overall, Legas threw for 9,763 yards and 101 touchdowns during his high school career, adding another 2,770 yards and 22 scores with his legs.
The dual-threat quarterback was a three-star recruit coming out of high school, and chose to stay close to home by joining Utah State. Following two redshirt seasons, Legas saw his first action for the Aggies in 2021, and started eight games in 2022, producing just over 1,800 yards of total offense. He is expected to remain Utah State鈥檚 starter for the 2023 season.
