Top 10 highest-rated Missouri HS football players since 2000

7. Damien Nash – 0.9769

Another standout in the backfield, Nash starred as a running back for Riverview Gardens High School for three years before finishing his senior year at East St. Louis, rushing for 5,395 rushing yards and 85 rushing touchdowns. As a prolific runner, Nash committed to Missouri.

After failing to meet the school’s academic requirements, Nash spent his first two collegiate seasons at Coffeyville Community College before transferring to the Tigers program. In two seasons with Mizzou, Nash rushed for 1,254 yards and 12 scores and was MU’s leading rusher in 2004, with 792 yards and seven touchdowns. Nash entered the 2005 NFL Draft and was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the fifth round and prior to the 2006 season was signed by the Denver Broncos. His life was tragically cut short when he died in 2007 after collapsing at a charity basketball game. He was 24 years old.
