2. Everson Griffen, Agua Fria
Griffen was a two-way star in high school, rushing for over 1,200 yards while accumulating 77 tackles as a senior. He won Arizona Gatorade Player of the Year that season. Griffen had interest from most of the top schools in the country before announcing his commitment to USC. He won Pac-10 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2007 and declared for the NFL draft after three seasons with the Trojans.
The Vikings took him in the fourth round of the draft and he became a star in Minnesota. Griffen played 11 seasons with the franchise and made four Pro Bowls. He last played in the NFL in 2021.
