5. Beau Allen, Lexington Catholic (2016-19)
The most recent star on this list, Allen started all four years during his time with the Knights where he threw for 11,439 yards and 127 touchdowns. As a senior in 2019, Allen won the Paul Hornung Award, given to the top high school football player in Kentucky. He committed to the University of Kentucky as a member of the team鈥檚 2020 class.
Allen spent two seasons with the Wildcats and played sparingly before transferring to FCS Tarleton State for the 2022 season. This past fall, Allen threw for 2,836 yards, 23 touchdowns and 11 interceptions and was named the Western Athletic Conference Newcomer of the Year before transferring again, this time to Georgia Southern. Allen will compete for the Eagles‘ starting quarterback job this summer.
