Lile became the Kiowas varsity starter as a freshman and in his first two seasons, recorded 7,120 passing yards. As a sophomore, he broke a Class 1A single-season record with 3,996 passing yards, and Lile continued his dominance as a junior and senior and ended up throwing for 14,408 yards.聽
