Top 5 WNBA Rookie of the Year candidates for 2023
2. Diamond Miller, G/F, Minnesota Lynx
Miller enters the WNBA after averaging 19.7 points for Maryland last season. She led the Terrapins to an Elite Eight appearance and was one of the best players in the country. At 6-foot-3, she has the height of a forward but plays like a guard. It looks to be a deadly combination for the second overall pick in the draft. Miller is joining a Lynx team that is ready to get back to its winning ways and playing under head coach Cheryl Reeve should be great for Miller. Reeve has already spoken highly of Miller and if anyone can coach Miller to a rookie-of-the-year level season, it鈥檚 Reeve.
Diamond Miller drives are *fun* to watch. Attacks in transition, doesn't have it. Gets the handoff, turns the corner and finishes.
