During his time at Oral Roberts, Vanover created a strong connection with guard and team leader Max Abmas. The duo were a pick-and-roll threat every time they were together on the court and this made for a difficult two-man game for defenses.
Abmas left the Golden Eagles this offseason when he transferred to join the Longhorns. Given the pair鈥檚 connection, perhaps Vanover could join his teammate in Austin. Texas has already added 6-foot-11 center Kadin Shedrick from Virginia in the transfer portal, but if they add Vanover, Shedrick could bump to the power forward position while the 7-foot-5 Vanover takes over at center. Alongside the other offseason moves the team has made, adding Vanover could take Texas from an NCAA championship threat into a legitimate contender in no time.
