2. Leighann Goode, INF, Texas
Like Martinez, Goode is another strong hitter and contributed to Texas鈥� success in conference play. In 49 games played, she holds a .355 batting average in 169 at-bats. Goode has the most hits among conference freshmen with 60, ranks third in the Big-12, and 20th in the nation. Goode has hit 14 doubles in the season so far, which ranks her fifth in the conference and 27th in the nation. Another Texas native, Goode was listed at No. 17 (tie) overall and No. 3 (tie) in the nation among infielders in Extra Inning Softball鈥檚 2022 Extra Elite 100 as well as No. 40 in Softball America鈥檚 2022 Top 100 Recruiting Rankings.
