Brandon Newman enters transfer portal; 5 possible landing spots

Creighton is one of a few teams on this list that was interested in Newman coming out of high school, and a move from the Big Ten to the Big East could be a beneficial one for the 6-foot-5 guard. The Blue Jays have a solid core and should be a top-25 team next season, but their championship prospects were dealt a big blow recently as point guard Ryan Nembhard announced he was entering the transfer portal. As a result, Creighton is going to need to add a few pieces to its roster, and Newman would be a nice fit in Greg McDermott’s back court. He is also no stranger to playing in big games after his time at Purdue, and would provide an added veteran presence in Omaha, Nebraska.
