Top 10 New Jersey HS baseball players in Class of 2023
10. Justin Shadek, RHP, Seton Hall Prep
Even on a stacked Seton Hall Prep team in 2022, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound righthander found a way to garner attention during his junior campaign. Shadek enjoyed a breakout year behind a 0.84 ERA in 25 innings pitched. With a 33-7 strikeout-to-walk rate, Shadek proved that he could dial things up during the Pirates’ 21-7 year. The Rutgers commit even saved his best performance for last, when he delivered seven innings of one-hit baseball that included nine strikeouts. With an impressive last game to look back on, Shadek could be in for a bigger season following last year’s success.
