Top 10 New Jersey HS baseball players in Class of 2023
2. Steven Echavarria, RHP, Millburn
It鈥檚 tough to find many around the state who were better on both the mound and at the plate in 2022 then the Millburn senior. Echavarria impressed on the bump with 50 strikeouts and a 1.79 ERA in 39 innings pitched and took the ball in relief during a number of the team鈥檚 playoff games. The 6-foot-2 righthander will look to continue his work at the plate as well after knocking in 18 RBIs to go along with his .355 batting average and 11 extra base hits a year before. With an impressive mix of fastball and slider, Echavarria will get the chance to work on the power pitches before heading off to play at Florida.
