Olivier Nkamhoua transferring: 5 possible landing spots
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (BVM) 鈥� In a bit of a surprising move, University of Tennessee men鈥檚 basketball player Olivier Nkamhoua put his name into the transfer portal, setting up an opportunity for him to leave the program as a graduate transfer. The forward played four seasons with the Vols, including the past two where he spent most of his time as a starter.
Over the course of his Volunteer career, Nkamhoua averaged 6.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and one assist over 17 minutes in 58 starts over 112 games. This past season, Nkamhoua averaged a career-high 10.8 points along with five rebounds and two assists over 25.3 minutes across 36 games, all of which he started.
Nkamhoua will likely draw a lot of interest in the portal given the 6-foot-9 forward鈥檚 experience and performance in the NCAA Tournament. Over three tournament games, Nkamhoua averaged 13.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.3 assists. This included a breakout performance against Duke in the second round where Nkamhoua dropped a season-high 27 points on 76.9% shooting from the field.聽
