Syracuse: Adrian Autry
If you are reading this, there is a good chance that you have not watched a Syracuse basketball game coached by anyone other than Jim Boeheim. That will change next year when the Orange will have a new head coach for the first time since 1976.
A phrase like 鈥渂ig shoes to fill鈥� does not begin to describe what Autry is stepping into. But in terms of finding the right fit, this is a great hire. A four-year player for the Orange in the 1990s, Autry has been on the staff since 2011, and has a ton of familiarity with the program. There will be no surprises for the 51-year-old, but any time there is a hire of a first-year head coach, there are no guarantees.
