3. Julius Peppers, North Carolina
To be able to play for the UNC Tar Heels basketball program, one has to be an exceptional player. Peppers proved his exceptional athleticism by starring both for the basketball and football teams in Chapel Hill, averaging 5.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 0.5 assists over 56 games on the court.
While at UNC, Peppers played in seven NCAA Tournament games across two seasons where he averaged 8.8 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks over 24.2 minutes of action. Even though he played for the basketball team, Peppers was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft and has gone on to what is undoubtedly a Hall of Fame career. He is eligible for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024.
