Top 10 NFL players who played in NCAA Tournament games聽
4. Mo Alie-Cox, Virginia Commonwealth
Perhaps the most pure basketball player on this list, Alie-Cox never played a down of collegiate football as his school, Virginia Commonwealth University, didn鈥檛 have a football program. During his time with the Rams, Alie-Cox played in 142 games with 103 starts where he averaged 7.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 0.8 assists.
Alie-Cox helped lead VCU to four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances from 2014-2017 and he played in five games with four starts. In those contests, Alie-Cox averaged 8.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 blocks in 23.2 minutes. Due to his short size for an NBA forward at 6-foot-6, Alie-Cox instead decided to try the NFL where he has played five seasons after being signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts in 2017.
