Top 10 Washington D.C. HS baseball players in Class of 2023
4. Brayden Martin, SS, St. John鈥檚
An elite middle infielder, Martin proved to be one of the best offensive players in the District last season. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound shortstop is ranked as the No. 26 player in Virginia-DC by PBR and the No. 7 overall player in Maryland by Perfect Game.
Martin excelled for the Cadets last season, hitting .398 with 30 runs, 17 stolen bases and 10 doubles. This helped Martin earn first-team All-Met honors.
After his time with St. John鈥檚, Martin will play baseball at Florida State. Before heading to Tallahassee though, Martin will look to help the Cadets win a WCAC championship they fell just short of a year ago.
I am very excited and blessed to announce that I will be continuing my academic and baseball career at Florida State University. I would like to thank my family and all of my coaches. @PBRVirginiaDC @PBRMaryland
