6. Alex Ozuna-Nunez, SS, Jackson-Reed
One of the state’s top position players, Ozuna-Nunez helped lead his Tigers to the state title game a year ago. The 6-foot-3, 160-pound shortstop is ranked as the No. 49 prospect in Virginia-DC by PBR and the No. 4 prospect in DC by Perfect Game.
As a junior last year, Ozuna-Nunez hit .432 with 32 hits, 25 runs, 22 RBIs, nine doubles and three triples. Thanks to his play, he was selected as an infielder on the DCSAA .
Currently uncommitted, Ozuna-Nunez will join Gerson in trying to help their Tigers get over the hump with a state championship this season.
