29 – Xavier
Like St. John鈥檚, Xavier has had a long string of success making it to the NCAA Tournament. However, unlike St. John鈥檚, it has had a lot of success recently.
Xavier made the 2023 field and made the Elite Eight as recently as 2017. However, therein lies the problem with the Musketeers. While they have been to 29 different tournaments (including this year), they have never made it beyond the Elite Eight, being eliminated from the round three times. Fortunately, Xavier does have an opportunity to rewrite its history this year as a three seed.
