Most men鈥檚 basketball March Madness bids without NCAA title
33 – Purdue
As a one seed in this year鈥檚 tournament, Purdue has a great chance of winning its first national title and being removed from this list. If they鈥檙e聽 able to make it to the title game, it will mark the first time the Boilermakers have done so since they debuted in the tournament in 1969 when they lost to UCLA 92-72.
Though Purdue has had some good success over the past few years including a Sweet 16 appearance last season and an Elite Eight appearance as recent as 2019, it has struggled to make a deeper run as they haven鈥檛 been to a Final Four or further since 1980. With a top seed in this year鈥檚 event, the Boilermakers are on the cusp of making program history.
