Most men鈥檚 basketball March Madness bids without NCAA title

The Illinois Fighting Illini have had a great run in recent years, even earning a No. 1 seed in the tournament a couple of years ago. However, the recent success hasn鈥檛 turned into a championship for the program yet.
While other teams have not been back to a championship game in decades, the Illini were in one not too long ago when they lost to North Carolina 75-70 in 2005. However, since that 2005 season, the Illini haven鈥檛 gone any further than the Round of 32, which is telling. As a nine seed this year, Illinois will have to string together some strong performances to be able make a run for a championship.
