Now to the teams with multiple championships in both sports. The Gators hold claim to three football national championships, winning titles in 1996, 2006 and 2008.
Florida was also excellent in basketball in the mid-2000s as they won back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007. This makes them the only program in NCAA history to win both a men鈥檚 basketball national title and a football national title in the same school year.
The Gators haven鈥檛 gotten as close to their spectacular success in the 2000s, making it as far as the Final Four in 2014 in basketball and ranking as high as No. 3 in the country in the final football poll of 2009.
