Top 10 Kentucky HS baseball players in Class of 2023
9. Connor Fugate, P, Paintsville
A standout for the Paintsville Tigers, Fugate proved he had a strong repertoire on the mound. The 6-foot-4, 175-pound right-handed pitcher is ranked as the No. 10 player in Kentucky by Perfect Game and No. 9 by PBR.聽
Last year, Fugate went 3-5 with a 3.07 ERA recording 68 strikeouts to just 21 walks over 45.2 innings pitched in 10 starts. Fugate鈥檚 performance on the mound helped the Tigers secure the District 57 championship and a spot in the Region 15 playoffs.
In November, the senior signed his national letter of intent to join the in-state Kentucky Wildcats. This season, Fugate will try to help his Tigers secure back-to-back district championships before he heads to Lexington for the fall.
I will be signing my National Letter of Intent to play baseball at the University of Kentucky on Wednesday, November 9th, at 1:30pm in the gymnasium at Paintsville High School! Everyone is welcome! Go cats馃挋
