Top 10 Kentucky HS baseball players in Class of 2023
2. Evan Hart, P, Mercer County
The top southpaw pitcher in the state, Hart proved his prowess on the mound for the Mercer County Titans a year ago. At 6-foot-5 and 200 pounds, Hart certainly looks the part of a DI college pitcher as he is ranked the No. 7 player in the state by Perfect Game and is the top-ranked player by PBR.
During his junior campaign, Hart went 5-2 with a save, recording a 2.29 ERA, 67 strikeouts, 28 walks and just 17 earned runs over 52 innings in 14 games with 10 starts. This helped Hart earn third-team all-state honors from the KHSBCA as he helped his Titans to a District 46 championship.
Hart will continue his baseball career in-state with the Kentucky Wildcats. Now entering his final season, Hart will look to lead his team to the next step, a regional championship.
After two years, I鈥檓 officially a wildcat! Thank you to all of the coaches who have helped get me to this point. 馃挋馃
