Top 10 Kentucky HS baseball players in Class of 2023
1. Thomas Howard, P, Frederick Douglass
Howard finishes off this list as the best player in the state. The 6-foot-4, 225-pound right-handed pitcher is ranked as the No. 3 player in the state by PBR and the No. 2 player by Perfect Game.
Last season, Howard finished with a 5-3 record with a save and recorded a 1.48 ERA, 68 strikeouts, 19 walks and just 11 earned runs over 52 innings pitched in 10 appearances with nine starts. However, despite Howard鈥檚 efforts, the Frederick Douglass Broncos were eliminated in the first round of the District 42 tournament, ending the year with a 24-10 record.
Once Howard wraps up his final season at Frederick Douglass he will head to Louisville where he will join the Cardinals program. Facing one last year with the Broncos, Howard will look to end his prep career with some more hardware this season.
Please join me on Thursday November 10th, 4 pm at Frederick Douglass High School. I will be signing my National Letter of Intent to play Baseball at the University of Louisville! Everyone is welcome!
