2. Youngstown State
Another top-seeded team, the Youngstown State Penguins are 23-8 with a 15-5 conference record in the Horizon League. On Feb. 25, the Penguins also secured their first regular season conference championship, securing a postseason berth.
For Youngstown State, the hurdle is a bit shorter than that of Kennesaw State. Milwaukee is the No. 2 seed in the Horizon, but sits behind the Penguins with a 20-10 overall record and a 14-6 record in the conference. The two teams did split the regular season series, however, so should they meet in the conference tournament things are bound to be interesting.
