Top 10 Ohio high school baseball players in Class of 2023
3. AJ Ewing, SS, Springboro
Ohio has a lot of high school baseball talent in its 2023 class, but the top three have set themselves apart. That begins with Ewing, a 6-foot, 175-pound shortstop who has starred the past couple of years at Springboro High School. Also a football player for the Panthers, Ewing earned all-conference honors in baseball as a sophomore as he hit .386 with four home runs, 25 RBIs and 33 runs scored. He was also an all-conference performer in another strong junior season in 2022, helping lead the Panthers to a district finals appearance. A few months later, the 6-foot, 175-pound catcher helped lead Top Tier 5 Star Roos Mafia to a title in Perfect Game鈥檚 World Wood Bat Association World Championship. Ewing committed to Alabama last spring, but he is also likely to hear his name called at some point in this summer鈥檚 MLB draft.
