One of the top pitchers in the Old Line State, Smith is currently ranked as the No. 10 overall player in Maryland by and the No. 16 player by . The 6-foot-3, 225-pound righty made six appearances for OLGC where he recorded a 5.12 ERA with 14 strikeouts, 13 walks, 12 runs, 10 hits and a .196 opponent batting average in 13.2 innings.
In addition to his high school play, Smith was also named to the All-Tournament Team at the WWBA U-15 national championship, showing off his skills among some of the best players in his age group across the country. Smith officially signed his National Letter of Intent to join the West Virginia University Mountaineers baseball team in November. Smith will look to help his Falcons improve on their 13-16 record from a year ago.
