While Ovechkin rightfully received much of the attention throughout his on-going career with the Washington Capitals, Backstrom has quietly moved towards the top of a plethora of the Capitals鈥� all-time records. With over 1,000 games played and over 700 points, Backstrom has become one of the most consistent and instrumental players the franchise has ever seen. With his Stanley Cup win in 2018, Backstrom picked up his most important piece of hardware throughout his career. When it鈥檚 all said and done, the Capitals鈥� center will likely finish as the team鈥檚 all-time leader in assists and falls only behind Ovechkin in games played and points.
