8. Howie Morenz, F, 1923-37
The 5-foot-9, 165–pound center won three Hart Trophies and three Stanley Cups during his time in Montreal. He also led the league in points twice and in goals for the 1927-28 season. For as historic as the Canadiens are, Morenz was one of the first faces of the franchise and was a true star in the game.
