Top 10 Indiana boys basketball players in Class of 2023
5. Jalen Hooks, SF, Warren Central
Hooks has had quite the journey throughout his high school career, but has long been viewed as one of Indiana’s top prospects. His high school career began at Franklin Central where he averaged 9.3 points and 4.7 rebounds as a freshman. Following another strong season at Crispus Attucks in which he scored 11.8 points and grabbed 8.4 rebounds per game as a sophomore, Hooks transferred out of Indiana to play at Donda Academy in California. Despite dealing with injuries for part of his junior season, the 6-foot-6, 180-pound forward still gained valuable experience in California that he will bring back with him to Indiana as he plays at Warren Central this season. A three-star prospect ranked , Hooks is yet to make a college decision, but holds plenty of notable Power 5 offers from schools like LSU, Illinois and Pitt.
