8. Alyssa Latham, forward, Homewood-Flossmoor
A 6-foot-1 post player, Latham showed her prowess on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. As a junior, Latham averaged a double-double with 19.4 points and 10.2 rebounds to go along with 3.1 blocks. Another member of the Class 4A second-team all-state unit, Latham earned 48 votes after helping her Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings team to a 19-9 record on her way to earning Southwest Suburban Conference Blue Conference Player of the Year. In August, the senior forward committed to Syracuse, bringing her play to the Division I level.
