9. Skylar Jones, guard, Whitney Young
Another member of Class 4A basketball, Jones led her Whitney Young Dolphins squad to a 23-6 record, a Public League title and an appearance in the Elite Eight where the team fell to Benet Academy. Jones averaged 16.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.6 steals and 3.0 assists, leading the Dolphins in each category. The 6-foot guard was named second-team all-state for her efforts, receiving 42 votes. On Oct. 15, Jones committed to the University of Missouri in a final five that included Illinois, Mississippi State, Rutgers and Syracuse.
