The reigning back-to-back Class 2A Division I state champions Shiner High School have a chance to repeat because they are bringing back a superstar two-way player. Brooks is a running back and safety for the Commanches. As a sophomore, he was the Offensive MVP of the state title game and District 13-2A-I Defensive MVP. Last season, the Texas A&M commit rushed for 2,611 and 39 touchdowns while also getting another 331 receiving yards and one touchdown. named him a second-team preseason All-American and even though he will be without his older brother, Doug, who graduated last year, Dalton gives Shiner more than a fighting chance to win three straight state titles.
