Jim Everett, Tommy McDonald headline Albuquerque鈥檚 NFL best
9. Jarrod Baxter, FB, Highland
Another player at a position that may not get as much respect as it deserves, Baxter excelled as a fullback at the professional level, but started his career as the lead running back for Highland High School. After his time with the Hornets, Baxter stayed in state at the University of New Mexico and would rise to the team鈥檚 starting running back by his senior campaign, racking up 2,102 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns over his four-year career. Baxter was drafted in the fifth round, No. 136 overall, in the 2002 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. Baxter played three seasons as a fullback for the Texans and Arizona Cardinals from 2002-05, participating in 32 games with 13 starts while registering 55 yards from scrimmage and a receiving touchdown.
