4. Joel Starlings, DL, Benedictine
The top defensive lineman in the state, Starlings has proven to be a consistent threat on the defensive front. The 6-foot-5, 310-pound tackle recorded 76 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and five sacks during his junior season with the Cadets, helping Benedictine to an 8-4 record. This performance helped Starlings earn second-team VISAA all-state honors. Though initially committed to Michigan, Starlings would decommit from the Wolverines in January before committing to UNC in May.
