Top 10 Minnesota HS football players in Class of 2023
7. Garrison Monroe, DB – Shakopee
It took Garrison Monroe only one hour to verbally commit to Minnesota after receiving an offer from the Gophers in June. Now, the 6-foot, 194-pound defensive back can focus on getting Shakopee High School football back to the playoffs. The Sabers went 8-3 last season and lost to eventual state champions Lakeville South in the MSHSL Class 6A State Quarterfinals. Monroe had 23 total tackles, two interceptions and three passes defended last year for Shakopee. This year with his college decision already made, Monroe will be fully focused on football and should have a great season.
Latest commitment Garrison Monroe () will likely play DB at the next level but he was one of the most exciting two way players in MN last season.
Also a standout dual-threat QB for Shakopee.
