EUGENE, Oregon – Colorado’s Kole Mathison had a solid performance, but saw his season come to a close on Wednesday night during the NCAA outdoor track and field championships. At Hayward Field, Mathison completed the 3,000-meter steeplechase course in 8 minutes, 38.18 seconds, placing 19th in the prelims. The top 12 advanced to Friday’s finals.
