Cubs’ Bregman exits after getting hit by foul ball in on-deck circle
Alex Bregman's day ended early on Sunday. The Chicago Cubs third baseman exited against the Boston Red Sox after being struck in the face by a foul ball while in the on-deck circle. Bregman immediately grabbed his face and was bloodied by the impact. He was taken into the clubhouse and replaced by Matt Shaw. The 32-year-old has shone in his first season in Chicago.
