Kyla Dawn Named SEC Freshman of the Week
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky forward Kyla Dawn has been named the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week after scoring a goal and notching two assists in the Wildcats’ 5-2 win over Kent State and two goals in 12 minutes in the 5-0 win at Dayton. This is the first SEC honor for Dawn, the native of Dallas. Other weekly award winners include Offensive Player of the Week Kyra Taylor from Florida and Defensive Player of the Week Jayden Emmanuel, a goalkeeper at Florida.
