Toppers show promise in season opener, fall to Louisiana Christian
Blue Mountain, Miss.- Blue Mountain Christian Women's Soccer opened its 2026 season Saturday against Louisiana Christian University, falling 3-1 to the Wildcats. Louisiana Christian got on the board early, with Katalina Medina in the fifth minute off an assist from Isabella Urbaneto to give the Wildcats a 1-0 lead. The Toppers settled in following the early goal and kept LCU from adding to its advantage for nearly 40 minutes. The Wildcats broke through again just before halftime, however, as Giselle Laing scored in the 45th minute off an assist from Izzy Childs to send LCU into the break ahead 2-0....
