After news broke of Brent Venables contract extension Thursday afternoon, the OU football head coach met with the media to talk about all things fall camp. Venables confirmed the Jake Maikkula injury and gave an update on the severity of the injury. He also broke down what lineman are working to replace Maikkula until he returns. Venables has also been able to see a lot more of wide receiver Trell Harris since the last time we talked and was able to give deeper impressions of the talented portal transfer.
