Congratulations to Archmere's Bernadette Patino, who received the most votes in the Delaware Online Preseason Field Hockey Player of the Year poll, presented by Delaware Orthopaedic Specialists. Patino, a member of the All-State first team last fall, won an online vote over four other nominees. Our preseason player of the year polls will continue next week with girls volleyball and football. The nominees will be announced on Monday, Aug. 24. Voting is free and runs Monday through Thursday, with the winner announced Friday.
