Women’s Soccer Falls 1-0 Against Illinois State
St. Charles, Mo. – The Lindenwood women's soccer team (1-2-0) suffered a tough 1-0 defeat against Illinois State (2-0-0) at Hunter Stadium on Thursday afternoon. The Lions attempted more shots and created a 7-3 advantage in corner kicks but were ultimately unable to find their way into the scoring column. The game-winning goal came in the 19th minute, with Illinois State's Rylann Law finding enough space at the top right corner of the box to slide a shot past a diving Caroline Ritter and inside the far post to put the Redbirds ahead 1-0.
